Toyota Launches 2012 Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series

According to KHABARKHODRO,The updated 2012 Toyota Tacoma compact truck adds a new TRD T|X Baja Series next spring.

 The TRD T|X Baja Series will be offered on Tacoma Access and Double Cab 4x4 models equipped with the TRD Off-Road package and eventually may be extended to the Tacoma PreRunner.Introduced Thursday at the Texas State Fair, the Baja Series joins a growing family of offroad-inspired packages on the Tacoma from Toyota Racing Development, including the TRD T|X and T|X Pro series.The 2012 Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series will be built at Toyota's San Antonio plant in Texas.The T|X Baja Series is fitted with a 4.0-liter V6 and a choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or five-speed automatic.The TRD Off-Road package bundles electronically controlled locking rear differential, Active Traction Control (A-TRAC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC), while the T|X Baja Series adds BF Goodrich T/A KO tires (LT265/70R16), bead-lock-style off-road wheels with an exclusive Gun-Metal Gray finish, TRD Cat-back Exhaust, increased front ride height of nearly two inches and unique Baja Series graphics.

Bilstein race shocks and TRD coil springs provide an additional inch of wheel travel in front and 1.5 inches in the rear.The entire 2012 Tacoma line gets an exterior freshening, with redesigned hood, grille, headlamps and front bumper, as well as an updated cabin with new instrument panel, center stack and steering wheel.
